Sweetheart Success!

The Sweetheart Ball was a resounding success with over 40 squares in attendance. That's a lot of dancers - practically a mini festival these days! A Square D sure knows how to host a great party, and we were very happy to be part of it.

We certainly want to thank our professional sound men: Larry and Bruce! Most people likely have no idea how much work goes into getting the band sounding right. It is a total relief to be able to play and hear what's being played. It allows us to relax and concentrate on performing! Larry and Bruce, you guys rock!

Ty actually knows the drummer for Alice Cooper, Glen Sobel, and he has a picture to prove it. What's more, he was tickled to meet Ron Sobel, Glen's dad, at the ball. He certainly didn't expect that, but folks with all kinds of interests and connections square dance. What was that about 6 degrees of separation? Or, was it: a dancer is only a square thru away? Ya never know.

We'll be gearing up for our next dance for the Wagon Train Squares at Cowtown in Riverside. Please join us!

New Years Bash

We brought in the new year at Cowtown, and despite a couple of issues with the sound, it was a blast! Andy Abeles' provided some youTube video of the dance. You know Andy's getting popular when you have to sit through an advertisement. Way to go, Andy! Here's a link to to the video:

We're looking forward to our next event -- the Sweetheart Ball.

From the last poll, Mountain Music and Stranger In My House tied for your favorite. There's a new poll for the music from our New Years' Eve dance. We’d love to know which tunes you might want to hear again. Check out the poll.
